Zut Alors!
Lordy only knows what is happening around here. Suddenly, on the 10th June and after heavy thunderstorms, we got a whole lot of vivid green algae moving across the Northerly side of the lake.
Within a few days, the whole lake had gone 'pea soup' in colour and consistency. Very strange.
Then, after a cooler spell in the first week of July, it started to clear - not great, but better - but meanwhile Cleveland Lake next door went all pea soup!
It started in June
Straight after the thunder on the 10th of June. What did it do to the water to create such vivid green? And, NO, it does not look like the blue/green algae we get around the Cotswold waterpark.

The neighbours
Check out these shots (and the Panorama views later) and you will see how we change, especially in comparison to next door to the West at Cleveland Lake.

Panoramic shots
I love a view of the Cotswold Water park and here we have several shots from different altitudes, different conditions, and even over-exposed to bring out some extra detail far below - enjoy!

Water close-ups
These shots will try to allow us to see into the water, the pea soup, the weed and even a poor dead Pike :-(
